Events Management

When you’re busy making art, the last things you want to think about are your event volunteers turning up on time, emailing the venue back with the rider you promised them, and that taxi you were supposed to book your headliner from the airport.

  • Systems and Logistics — Using readily available platforms like Google Workspace, Garret and Basement can produce professional solutions to help you with everything from file management to outreach for your event. Think conditionally formatted spreadsheets, detailed time plans, and resource coordination to help everything ahead of the big day, throughout the event, all the way through to handling post-event processes.

  • On-site support — With a background in staff and volunteer management, I can help with the smooth running of your event on the day. I provide dynamic assistance to managers, completing ad hoc tasks to reduce their on-site workload. My excellent interpersonal skills will ensure that all parties come away satisfied with their interactions.

  • Copywriting — I have designed and published resources from first draft to final copy, adhering to organisations’ house styles and specifications. All of my writing and design is AI-free to help give that human touch in accordance with your unique ideas.

With specialist knowledge of creative education, I love creating workshops to get people’s brains whirring. Whether you need a creative event for your classroom, office or festival, Garret and Basement can deliver live performances from start to finish:

  • Workshop and Programme Design — I have previously organised and delivered workshops for everyone from children in under-resourced schools to organisational onboarding in national charities. Garret and Basement can perform outreach tasks and administrative duties as part of the workshop design service to efficiently organise and manage the flow of people attending events.

  • Hosting and Facilitation — If you have a project lined up with your organisation that needs someone to host or facilitate, Garret and Basement is an ideal choice. Fully DBS checked and an engaging, enthusiastic speaker, I have experience facilitating creative workshops in both in-person and online.
